My Story

Hello All,

Today, I promise to share some of my background in health and nutrition. So here I go…

I have been involved in health and nutrition for over 15 years. I worked as a hospital pharmacy tech right out of high school. I wanted to be a pharmacist. After working in that setting for a few years, I realized I hated being around sick people all day long. I also discovered that most of the drugs prescribed only treated symptoms and didn’t fix the problem.

Matthew and I met while I was working at the hospital and he was into health as well. He introduced me to network marketing and natural health products that focused on preventing disease and healing the body naturally. After my exposure, I was hooked.

In the meantime, we had three kids back to back and found that doctor’s visits were costly. It didn’t seem to work as far as some of the issues my kids were having. We had a friend that introduced us to tea tree oil and we started using that for my son’s chronic ear infections. The infection cleared up in about a week and that was after 4 or 5 rounds of antibiotics that didn’t work or him. We never had to use antibiotics again to treat ear infections.

From that point, we made it our goal as a family to find natural ways to treat illness instead of using the doctor first. We still had to go to the doctor for check ups and if there was something going on that we couldn’t handle ourselves, but our visits were definitely less frequent and we were healthier overall.

When we moved back to Georgia, I had to find work. I didn’t want to work a job that I hated anymore. I had been in sales and management for years, but I was always sell stuff I wasn’t really passionate about. There was a vitamin store that had just opened in our area and I knew I would run that store one day.

I started as assistant manager and in 9 months I was the store manager. I was there almost five years before I left to work for myself. During my time at the store, I studied everyday and researched all types of health concerns. Ever customer would bring a new health topic to look up. My philosophy was if I didn’t know the answer, I would look until I found it for them.

After I left the vitamin store, I opened my own herb shop. I sold dry lose herbs and other natural products. I had quiet a customer following. I even had some of my customers from the vitamin store follow me to the herb shop.

I had to close my herb shop because I started to have some health issues. I needed to get my self back on track before I could help others again. That is where I am today. I am still working towards gaining my health back. The thing that has helped me the most on this journey has been increasing my glutathione levels.

I’ll have to stop me story here, but I’ll continue in tomorrow’s blog.

I hope your day is a great one!

Michelle
